Since 1066 Westminster Abbey in London has been a coronation church. Seventeen monarchs have been laid to rest there. The current structure has been standing since 1245.

Westminster Abbey in London is full of artifacts, stained glass, and paintings. Visitors will find royal funeral effigies, sculpture fragments from the 12th century, medieval glass, and England’s oldest altarpiece; Westminster Retable from the 13th century.
