Royal Observatory Greenwich

The Royal Observatory is located in Greenwich. This series of buildings is home to the newly established Peter Harrison Planetarium, a museum that features navigational and astronomical devices, and the Greenwich refracting telescope, which at 28 inches is the United Kingdom’s largest. The Royal Observatory is famous for the Prime Meridian line that runs through its courtyard; this line is the representation of Greenwich Mean Time with a longitude of 0 degrees.
