London Transport Museum

One of the many museums available to visit while in the United Kingdom is the London Transport Museum.

  • In the 1920s the London General Omnibus Company thought it would be a good idea to preserve some of its historical vehicles.
  • Coupled with the city’s 1929 centenary celebration of buses, it was the unofficial beginning of London Transport Museum.
  • Through the 60s, 70s, and 80s, there were many different incarnations and locations of the relics until finally the London Transport Museum was officially born.
